Drive to Battambang passing by Kampong Chhnang which is located on the banks of the Tonle Sap River. On the way, you can see the beauty of its picturesque landscapes. The area is known for its earthenware and pottery. Even if this craft persists, it should be noted that the majority of locals live from rice farming or fishing. The region has been registered by UNESCO since 1997 as a biosphere reserve. Visit the local market to admire the pottery. Battambang, a name with a musical sound that designates the main city of Western Cambodia. The region is considered the "rice bowl" of the country, renowned for its fertility, with a lush countryside where rice and citrus fruits grow. To end the day, visit Phnom Sampov hill (by 4x4) and its Killing Cave. Today Phnom Sampov is one of the most important religious sites in the country. Direction Kampong Khleang, a lakeside village located about forty kilometers from Siem Reap and spared from mass tourism. This is a village, where all the houses are on stilts, which offers an exceptional natural environment, flooded plains, expanses of water as far as the eye can see, sparkling green rice fields ... Walk in the village to meet the inhabitants and stop at a house where the family raises crocodiles.
