The Phimeanakas dates from the end of the 10th century, it is a mountain temple with 3 laterite steps crowned with sandstone. A little difficult to access, this temple is the ideal place to take a break. The Terrace of the Elephants on which pavilions once stood, the council room with gold window frames. The Terrace of the Leper King, probably a kind of crematory pyre, was recently cleared. The work has highlighted the different periods of the monument, which is quite unique. Continue to discover the archaeological site of Sambor Prei Kuk (7th century), the most important of the pre-Angkorian period: the remains of this ancient capital of Chenla, Isanapuri, scattered in the forest, consist of more than a hundred brick temples.
