Day 7.
Siem Reap (B/L/D)
SUNRISE AT ANGKOR WAT At 4:30 am, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel to take you to admire the sunrise over Angkor Wat. The vision of the immense temple first in shadow and then gradually revealing itself adorned with the colors of the dawn is a real enchantment. Then, you return to the hotel to have breakfast at the hotel. Half-Day by Tuk Tuk instead of bus In the morning, explore Angkor Thom, the last capital founded in the Angkor area: this vast architectural complex is accessed through five monumental gates; in its center is the Bayon mountain temple, famous for its towers with 172 faces of Avalokitesvara. The Phimeanakas dates from the end of the 10th century, it is a mountain temple with 3 laterite steps crowned with sandstone. A little difficult to access, this temple is the ideal place to take a break. The Terrace of the Elephants on which pavilions once stood, the council room with gold window frames. The Terrace of the Leper King, probably a kind of crematory pyre, was recently cleared. The work has highlighted the different periods of the monument, which is quite unique. Lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, departure by bus to explore the royal monastery of Ta Prohm founded by the great Buddhist king Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th century. The exuberant plant cover of this vast complex was kept as an example to show the effort of the clearing and restoration work accomplished by France since 1908. Continuation towards Preah Kan, one of the most important complexes built during the ancient Khmer empire. Much more than a temple, it restores the organization of a small city of 56 hectares which notably included a university. Invaded by the roots of giant cheese trees, Preah Khan remains a remarkable example of single-storey architecture known as the "monastic complex" style. This temple also marked a major step in the history of Angkor, that of the great religious reform which, while tolerating Hinduism, established Cambodian Buddhism. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. Note: From 01 Dec 2021: Apsara Authority reopened to visitors can access the 1st and 2nd level of Bayon. The 3rd level remains closed for the time being.
Day 8.

Visit of a pagoda and refreshment in a Khmer house for a tasting of fresh coconut juice. Dinner at the local restaurant accompanied by a show of traditional dances. Night at the hotel. Note: Visiting Banteay Srei requires visitors to cover their shoulders well and wear long pants or a long skirt.
Day 9.
Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of the Koh Ker temple A journey to Koh Ker takes you into the Cambodian countryside, northeast of the Kulen National Park. From there it is 85 km to the small village of Seong, passing through a few remote villages and a magnificent forest populated by deer. Also known as Chok Gargyar, this pyramid temple dates from the 9th-12th century. This monument consists of five brick towers in a row - an unusual style. This area is covered with more than 80 temples, which remains by far the most impressive. Lunch at the local restaurant. This afternoon, we will continue the road to Beng Mealea to visit this site consisting of a superb 11th century temple engulfed by the jungle. The small temple of Beng Mealea (11th century) is worth a detour. The immense jungle temple covering 1km2 of surface is invaded by vegetation. Built in the style of Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea must have served as a kind of prototype for Angkor Wat. Beng Mealea is located 60km east of Siem Reap. Its beauty is partly due to the merciless battle that the stones wage against nature. Dinner at a local restaurant. Night at the hotel.
Day 10.
Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Phnom Kulen National Park, the most sacred mountain in Cambodia and a very active place of pilgrimage. Jayavarman II proclaimed himself chakravartin (king of kings), an act considered to be the beginning of the foundation of the Khmer empire. You will discover Preah Ang Thom, an eight-meter statue representing a reclining Buddha who has reached nirvana. The statue is carved from a huge sandstone rock. Preah Ang Thom is the sacred god of Phnom Kulen. The temple and its surroundings are particularly photogenic. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Kbal Spean (the river of a thousand lingas) north of Angkor. You reach the site after a 45-minute walk through the forest. Visit to Kbal Spean (the river of a thousand lingas) north of Angkor. You reach the site after a 45-minute walk through the forest. The 1000 lingas carved in the “Linga Valley” or “Linga River” as it is often called, are a tribute to the Hindu god Shiva. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11.
Siem Reap (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. You will dive into the "religious" past of Siem Reap. Discover and enter the oldest pagoda in the city, Wat Bo, where the frescoes adorning the interior walls of the Vihear (sanctuary and main temple) date back more than a century. We will then suggest that you continue your walking tour along the river to reach another slightly more recent pagoda, Wat Prohm Roath, to have two different perspectives on the architecture of Khmer pagodas. You will have the opportunity to live the unique experience of a Buddhist blessing. After a short chant, the monk will bless you with lustral water. This ritual, very popular among the Khmers, aims to chase away evil spirits such as illness or bad luck! Lunch at the local restaurant. Then, boat trip on Tonlé Sap Lake and discovery of its floating villages. This veritable inland sea, whose flood regulates the life of the Khmer people, was classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1997 due to the incredible diversity of its ecosystem. Dinner at the PHARE restaurant Then, an hour of the show "PHARE, the Cambodian Circus" at 8:00 p.m. (Seat B) Take to new heights by applauding the unique numbers of energetic professional artists trained at the PHARE circus school in Battambang. After acclaimed tours around the world, these young and talented Cambodians perform every evening in the heart of the cradle of Khmer civilization. Without any animals, this show of juggling, tricks of all kinds and daring acrobatics is breathtaking. In 2021, the Phare circus won 4 prestigious international awards and entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Overnight at the hotel.
