Day 1.
ARRIVAL IN SIEM REAP - VISIT (L/D)
Arrival at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, welcome by your French-speaking guide and transfer to the city of Siem Reap (53km). Rooms are available from 2:00 p.m. Lunch in a local restaurant. Afternoon, you will dive into the "religious" past of Siem Reap. Discover and enter the oldest pagoda in the city, Wat Bo, where the frescoes adorning the interior walls of the Vihear (sanctuary and main temple) date back more than a century. We will then suggest that you continue your walking tour along the river to another slightly more recent pagoda, Wat Prohm Roath, to have two different perspectives on the architecture of Khmer pagodas. Dinner at the hotel. Night at the hotel.
Day 2.
SIEM REAP – VISIT TO ANGKOR THOM – TA PROHM (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel Half-day by Tuk Tuk Trailer. In the morning, explore Angkor Thom, the last capital founded in the Angkor area: this vast architectural complex is accessed through five monumental gates; in its center is the Bayon mountain temple, famous for its towers with 172 faces of Avalokitesvara. The Phimeanakas dates from the end of the 10th century, it is a mountain temple with 3 laterite steps crowned with sandstone. A little difficult to access, this temple is the ideal place to take a break. The Terrace of the Elephants on which pavilions once stood, the council room with gold window frames. The Terrace of the Leper King, probably a kind of crematory pyre, was recently cleared. The work has highlighted the different periods of the monument, which is quite unique. Lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, departure for the exploration of the royal monastery of Ta Prohm founded by the great Buddhist king Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th century. The exuberant plant cover of this vast complex was kept as an example in order to show the effort of the clearing and restoration work accomplished by France since 1908. Continuation towards Preah Kan, one of the most important complexes built during the ancient Khmer empire. Much more than a temple, it restores the organization of a small city of 56 hectares which notably integrated a university. Invaded by the roots of giant cheese trees, Preah Khan remains a remarkable example of single-storey architecture known as the "monastic complex" style. This temple also marked a major step in the history of Angkor, that of the great religious reform which, while tolerating Hinduism, established Cambodian Buddhism. Dinner at local restaurant accompanied by traditional dance show. Overnight at hotel. Note: From 01 Dec 2021: Apsara Authority reopened to visitors can access the 1st and 2nd levels of Bayon. The 3rd level remains closed for the time being.
Day 3.
SIEM REAP – ROLUOS – ANGKOR WAT (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We invite you to immerse yourself in the pre-Angkorian period by visiting monuments whose style is particularly appropriate that will allow you to understand the evolution of Khmer architecture throughout your stay. These monuments of the “Roluos” group are also located in the ancient capital of Jayavarman II, Hariharalaya, consisting of three major temples: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then, discover Angkor Wat, a masterpiece of Khmer art. It is the most famous and most imposing of all the monuments of Angkor, whose five towers, a golden pink, have become the emblem of all the successive regimes of Cambodia. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. Note: Visiting the Angkor Wat temple and also the Bakan tower requires visitors to cover their shoulders well, and to wear long pants or a long skirt. For visiting the Bakan tower of Angkor Wat, children under 12 years old are prohibited from going up. It will be closed during Buddhist holy days 4 days a month and according to the lunar calendar.
Day 4.
SIEM REAP – BANTEAY SREI (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, you will visit the Jewel of Classical Khmer Art, the temple of Banteay Srei which means the “citadel of women”. On the way back, stop in a village for a demonstration of the harvesting of palm juice for the making of palm sugar (From October to April, harvest season). Visit a pagoda and refreshment in a Khmer house for a tasting of fresh coconut juice. Lunch at the local restaurant. You will visit the Satcha Handicraft Center. Scattered in a beautiful garden, 6 contemporary design workshops have been built in a traditional way with bamboo, to accommodate many artisans and their different skills, including sculpture (stone, wood, bamboo, leather), painting, lacquer, weaving (rattan, bamboo, water hyacinth, silk, cotton), ceramics, jewelry and silver. Day 5.
SIEM REAP – BATTAMBANG (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake and among its floating villages. A major asset in the development of the Angkor site, Tonle Sap Lake now supports more than a million inhabitants. The floating villages, animated by fishing and livestock activities, offer an astonishing spectacle. Departure by road to Battambang (3.5 hours’ drive). Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival in Battambang and visit of the city Visit the beautiful Damrei Sar pagoda, built at the beginning of the 20th century. The walls are a mixture of lime and resin with beautiful bas-reliefs. Visit the village of Wat Kor, recognized as a cultural village with some charming old wooden houses dating from the beginning of the 20th century. If time permits, visit the circus school "Phare Ponleu Selpak", an associative school where many young people come to learn the different disciplines of the circus but also illustration and theater, depending on the day possibility of meals and shows. Note: The school is closed during weekends and public holidays. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6.
BATTAMBANG - PHNOM PENH (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by road to Phnom Penh (290km/about 5 hours drive). Stop in the provincial town of Kampong Chhnang where we offer you a walking tour in the traditional pottery villages where craftsmen make braziers for cooking and many other objects useful for daily life and decorating Cambodian homes. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then, visit Oudong, the former capital of the kingdom in the 17th century and then from 1740 to 1746, Oudong was founded by King Soryopor (Barom Reachea IV) in 1601. King Ang Duong (1841-1850), a great builder, built canals, terraces, bridges and erected a hundred pagodas in this region. Arrival in Phnom Penh, and check-in. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7.
PHNOM PENH TOUR (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Phnom Penh by tuktuk In the morning, departure through the city passing by the Independence Monument, Central Market, Wat Phnom and the colonial district. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then, visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, located within the Royal Palace, where the crown treasures are kept. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. Note: The visit to the Royal Palace requires visitors to cover their shoulders well and wear long pants or a long skirt.
Day 8.
DEPARTURE FROM PHNOM PENH (B/L)
Free time to relax. Lunch at the hotel. Then, transfer to Phnom Penh airport for the departure flight. The rooms are at your disposal until noon only Extension:

PHNOM PENH - KAMPOT (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure with guide to Kampot (132km/3h drive). Arrival in Kampot and orientation tour to discover the colonial heritage and salt marshes (depending on the season: Which season to avoid?). Lunch at the local restaurant. Free time to relax. Dinner at the local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10.
KAMPOT – KEP - KAMPOT (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of the pepper farm "La Plantation". The meeting with the farmers is a very enjoyable moment. Kampot pepper is one of the best peppers in the world, it comes in 3 flavors (white, red and black). Lunch at the farm restaurant. Then, transfer to the pier where you board a local boat to explore the mangrove forest. You will appreciate the spectacular beauty as well as the peaceful and refreshing atmosphere of this "cathedral of greenery". You will contribute to its preservation by planting a mangrove there. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11.
KAMPOT – PHNOM PENH – DEPARTURE (B/L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure with guide to Phnom Penh (132km/3h drive). Lunch at the local restaurant. Free time until transfer to Phnom Penh airport for the departure flight. Free dinner. The rooms are at your disposal until noon only
